Safari Blue is the classic Zanzibar sea trip. We sail a traditional Zanzibar dhow across Menai Bay, in the south-west of the island.

When the sea and weather allow, we stop at sandbanks to swim and snorkel in the warm water. Snorkelling gear is included. Fresh tropical fruit is served on board, followed by a seafood lunch.

Itinerary

  1. 8:00

    Hotel pick-up

    Your driver meets you at reception and takes you to the departure point.

  2. Dhow sailing in Menai Bay

    A traditional boat on the turquoise Indian Ocean.

  3. Sandbanks, swimming and snorkelling

    Stops depend on sea and weather conditions.

  4. Fruit and seafood lunch

    Fresh tropical fruit and local seafood.

  5. 16:00–17:00

    Back to your hotel

    The exact time depends on conditions at sea.

Good to know

  • If the weather does not allow us to sail, we move the trip to another day. If the new date does not suit you, we refund your money.
  • The route and return time depend on sea and weather conditions. We are usually back between 4:00 and 5:00 PM.
  • Children up to 4 years old travel free. From 5 years the normal price applies, although a discount is possible on some tours.
  • Guides speaking English, Polish, French, German, Italian or Swahili are available on request, subject to availability.
